About BellBook

A small, free tool for the teachers and school staff who keep the A/B calendar running.

BellBook is part of MiniTools, a set of free, single-purpose web tools. It makes A/B day, Day 1–N and block schedule calendars, dated lesson planners that follow the same rotation, and class pages (attendance dated by class meeting, a gradebook, a seating chart and a substitute plan). Like every MiniTools site, it runs entirely in your browser: what you type stays on your device.

Why we built it

Schools on rotating schedules often publish the year's A/B calendar from a spreadsheet. When a snow day or a new holiday shifts the rotation, the spreadsheet has to be redone by hand and teachers rewrite their planners. BellBook stores the rules instead: the dates, the rotation, the days off and how closures are handled. So one change re-letters the rest of the year correctly.

Is it really free?

Yes. Every feature is free, with no account and no paid tier. Printed and exported calendars carry a small “Made with BellBook” credit, which is how other teachers find the tool.

Accuracy

Federal holiday dates are calculated with the official US rules, and the rotation logic is covered by automated tests, including tests of both snow-day rules. Your district's calendar is always the final word, so check printed calendars against it. BellBook is not affiliated with any school, district or calendar provider.
